Main Components of a Rainwater Harvesting System
Combining the Sponge City project, garage siphon drainage, and the complete PP modular rainwater storage tank system, this solution is organized according to the sequence of rainwater flow and is compatible with your company’s full range of siphon drainage and rainwater module products:
I. Rainwater Collection and Convergence System
Polymer-coated drainage profiles (composite siphon drainage panels) are installed on garage roof slabs and landscaped base slabs to collect water seeping through the soil, filter out sediment, and direct the flow into drainage channels.
Siphon drainage channels (Channel A) + T-fittings and cross-fittings are used to construct a zero-gradient siphon drainage network that collects water seeping from the drainage panels, enabling rapid drainage.
HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) Drainage Pipes: Main conveyance pipes that transport collected rainwater to pretreatment facilities; includes HDPE double-wall corrugated pipes and specialized siphon pipes.
Polymer Adhesive: Used to seal the joints between drainage panels and siphon channels, preventing silt and sand from infiltrating and clogging drainage pathways.
II. Rainwater Pretreatment System (Purification and Flow Diversion)
Debris-Trapping Basket: Intercepts leaves, plastic bags, and large debris to provide preliminary filtration of rainwater.
Initial Rainwater Diversion Device: Automatically discharges dirty rainwater containing silt and pollutants from the initial phase of rainfall, reducing sediment buildup in the storage tank.
Rainwater Filter: Fine-filters suspended solids to further purify the rainwater.
Settling Tank: Settles fine silt and impurities to protect the downstream storage tank.
III. Rainwater Storage System
PP Rainwater Collection Module Storage Tank: Assembled from interconnected PP rainwater collection modules and externally wrapped with an HDPE impermeable geomembrane to form a sealed storage tank; used to store purified rainwater.
Optional Configuration: If used as a rainwater infiltration and retention tank, the impermeable geomembrane may be omitted.
IV. Rainwater Advanced Treatment System (Optional)
Rainwater Treatment Unit / Quartz Sand Filter
UV Disinfection Unit: Selected when rainwater is used for high-standard applications such as landscape water features and irrigation of greenery.
V. Rainwater Reuse and Distribution Control System
Rainwater Pump Set: Pumps stored rainwater from the storage tank for external distribution.
Smart Control Cabinet: Automatically controls pump start/stop and monitors high/low water levels.
Valves, Pipes, and Flow Meters: Components for the water distribution network.
VI. Auxiliary Support Systems
HDPE Geomembrane: Envelops the modular storage tanks to prevent water leakage;
Ventilated Inspection Chamber: For tank maintenance, sludge removal, and water level monitoring;
Overflow Chamber: Discharges excess rainwater when rainfall exceeds the storage tank’s capacity;
